These awards were presented at the Woodstock Union High School (WUHS) Senior Awards Night. The winner of the 2018 Sherburne Academic Scholarship of $1000 is Kyle Weirether from Killington, who had the highest weighted grade point average (GPA) at WUHS (of a Killington/Pittsfield resident). He graduated summa cum laude, was the Salutatorian of the Class of 2018 and plans on attending Northeastern University in the Fall. Congratulations Kyle on all your hard work and dedication to learning. The members of the GKWC are very proud of your determination and academic success! The winner of the 2018 Pat Zack Community Service Award of $1000 is Rory Haff also from Killington. This award is given to the Killington or Pittsfield high school senior who has demonstrated the most sincere dedication to community service and volunteerism within our local community. Rory has volunteered at various organizations in the community and is active in many student clubs at the high school. She also graduated summa cum laude and will be attending Smith College in the Fall.
