Thank you to the 17 club members who generously provided side dishes and desserts for the Killington Fire & Rescue's July 4th Bar-B-Que picnic fundraiser. Because it was such a glorious day and phenomenal turnout, they could have used even more contributions! They could have also used a few more club volunteers to help serve, so next year we hope to get this organized for them a little earlier.
The Killington Fire Department puts on the annual 4th of July Bar-B-Que picnic as a fundraiser for their very important work in our community. The women's club has been asked for help in contacting community members to bring food to this event, as we have done in the past. Specifically contributions of side dishes (such as salads, beans, & watermelon) are requested. They should be brought to the Killington Recreation Center on River Road on July 4th anytime before 11 am or anytime during the day. Additionally, volunteers are also needed to help at the tents with serving food during the day (bar-b-que & drink) and/or evening (dessert). You can also support the Fire Department by purchasing raffle tickets (for sale at $10 each, #6 for $50, or #12 for $100). For more info click here or please contact Steven Finer, Killington Fire & Rescue President, at 802-353-2173. You can let us know what you are able to bring here.
